My wife and I just finished the build of our new home in Somersett Reno with Preston homes and want to complement them on their build process. We met with Preston and Eden roughly every 2-3 weeks as the home was being built, and refined details of the plans as we went to give us the home of our dreams. The key we found in working well with them was to always stay a little ahead of them on selecting modifications to room layouts, window size and placement, floor and tile selection and finally paint colors. Eden did a phenomenal job of keeping us up to date on the schedule and when final decisions needed to be made. We would highly recommend Preston Homes to any one looking to build a home in the Reno area.

It is an honor to write this testimonial for Preston Homes. We were so blessed to find this area in beautiful Somersett in January, 2021. We had bought a lot in Galena Forest Estates, in South Reno, in summer of 2020 and really thought that we would build there. However, we changed our minds as soon as we met Preston Anderson and Eden (Anderson) White. The whole process of buying a lot in Twelve Moons Court, picking our favorite floor plan and building our dream home was quite easy. In addition, picking out the finish work was perfect as we had some unique, “Tahoe” requests that Eden helped us with that only took a few weeks during our build. Our home may not be right for many people, but it is perfect for our little family who moved to NW Reno from Tahoe Donner in Truckee, California. After many many years on the slopes of Palisades, we knew this was going to be our forever spot, we just needed to build the perfect house (optional opening). I was introduced to Preston Homes through an “open house” sign on the Somersett Parkway and within 48 hours Preston was calling me back himself.
While almost complete with his division of homes on the Back Nine Trail, he had 3 lots left and a floor plan that was very similar to our CA remodel. Primary bedroom on the first floor was a must, while offering ample room for our daughters upstairs made the plan look appetizing. We converted the third parking space to the 4th bedroom and created a great front office room complete with barn door.
Preston introduced us to all the companies needed for excellent home finishes. From the 75” gas fireplace that acts as a beautiful living room centerpiece to the 10-foot ceiling-height kitchen cabinets with lighting. The porcelain tile primary bathroom floors are breathtaking as well as the wood flooring throughout. We expanded the paver stone patio and created a great dog run down the side of the house that our two dogs use frequently through their doggy door. The bones of the home are powered by two furnaces, a tankless water heater, and two car chargers because being green and having a clean energy future is important to us. It was almost one year from start to finish and we hit some major deadlines with the long hours that his team Eden and Trent put in to make this a reality. We are happy to have Preston as a builder but even more excited to have a new family friend in the Reno community.
